To all parents of Rising 9th Laxers: Hopefully you have registered to attend the Warrior Welcome this Sunday at 1:30 at NAHS. If you haven't done so I highly recommend you attend this event. I have confirmed that the NAHS Boys Lacrosse Coaching Staff will be there to greet you and your son and answer any questions you may have about opportunities to continue on with Lax next year.
Be sure to ask Coaches Regan and Cheney about:
Summer League
Fall Ball
Off Season Conditioning
Varsity Try-outs
Junior Varsity Team
This is always a great event but as I understand it they are going all out this year to welcome the kids to North Atlanta.
A Heads Up: Next week you are going to hear from me about the coordinated effort between the Lacrosse Programs at SMS and NAHS handle the transition Middle School ball to big time GHSA lax competition. I have been talking with the coaches at both schools and they care very much that your son continues to thrive in the sport and has the tools and coaching excel at the next level. Be prepared though, this means getting serious and having your Rising Warrior participate in the off season program that has been set up. (details to follow)
In the meantime, lets get together on Sunday enjoy the party and celebrate this great milestone! I'll see you there!
Go Cougars! Go Warriors!

Cougars Shut Out Rival Inman 5 - 0
The Sutton Lacrosse Team saw a lot of action last week against 3 strong teams. After two close matches against Holy Innocents and Blessed Trinity the Sutton players pulled togeather for another big win. A combination of a stingy Cougar defense and a ball control offense prevented the Inman Boys Lacrosse team from scoring even a single goal Saturday in the second matchup of these two teams this season. Sutton earned wins in both outings with this Saturday's final score of 5 - 0. Congratulations to Goalie Grant Percy for recording the teams first shut out. Sutton's offensive attack succeeded in dictating the pace of play for most of the day by winning the majority of the face offs and passing the ball well in transition. Goals were scored last week by Pierce Johnson, Thomas Muller, Bradley Reeves, Nicholas Rodman, Thomas Rowen, Steven Spears, Jarrett Spiegle, & Cameron Tyler. Assists were provided by Nicolas Durham, Bradley Reeves, Nicholas Rodman, Thomas Rowen, Steven Spears, & Cameron Tyler.
The Sutton Lacrosse team concludes the 2012 regular season this weekend against Whitefield Academy and St. Pius. A pair of wins over these quality opponents would give the team a lot of momentum going into the upcoming tournment."

St. Patrick's Day Game Photos
Great job by the Cougars on St. Patrick's Day! They have been improving every week and had their best defensive effort to date. Here are some of the photos I took during our games against Kennesaw and Woodward (sorry if there are too many of the goalie!).
The Cougars beat Kennesaw 3 - 1 in the first game and came within two and a half minutes of a shut out. Sutton then turned around and played Woodward Academy tough in a 1 - 3 loss. After a scoreless first quarter they two teams spent the bulk of the game even with one goal each until two Woodward goals in the final minutes put them ahead for good.
If you like to order prints of these images they will be available on Jo's site as part of the team fundraiser. When they are uploaded to her site I'll include the link here.
What a great day!
